The National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM) is proud to be the preferred certification for members of the Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA). While separate and independent organizations, we share a common goal: to elevate the standard of care for aging individuals and their families by supporting excellence in care management.
The Aging Life Care Association® is the premier association for professionals practicing care management, setting the benchmark for ethical, effective, and compassionate Aging Life Care™ services. Through its leadership and support, ALCA promotes professional development, networking, industry conferences, mentorship opportunities, and more. Its members, known as Aging Life Care Managers®, are recognized as experts in the field and must adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, which closely align with NACCM’s.
Since its founding in 1985 (formerly known as the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers), ALCA has been the respected voice and thought leader in the Aging Life Care™ profession.
The organization plays a vital role in advancing the field through:
- Public Directory & Business Development: Maintaining a national directory of Aging Life Care Professionals®, connecting families and referral sources with qualified experts, while also supporting members in growing and marketing their practices.
- Education & Training: Offering resources and continuing education to support lifelong learning. Aging Life Care Association clinical webinars and events are approved for CMC Continuing Education Contact Hours.
